My practice utilises objects postproduction which in their original context have a purpose of physical interaction i.e. gloves, glasses and most recently megaphones.
Once I have altered the object its potential to be reclaimed back for to its original use (despite it being often defunct in its former purpose by my alterations) rests on an interesting boundary which each piece crosses neither one way nor the other. With my prerogative being to neither invite
nor forbid the viewer to physically interact with the piece.
The way in which I reedit these objects is through both a subtle physical and often more obvious contextual alteration. With sites outside “the white cube” environment providing ample exploration of context and site specificity. Through the physical and conceptual engagement of these sites my practice expands creating a collection of objects all of which convey a visual poetry awaiting the viewers imagination.
